Synbiotics Containing Nanoprebiotics: A Novel Therapeutic Strategy to Restore Gut Dysbiosis

چکیده

A new formulation, nanoprebiotics [e.g., phthalyl pullulan nanoparticles (PPNs)], was demonstrated to enhance the antimicrobial activity of probiotics Lactobacillus plantarum (LP)] in vitro through intracellular stimulation better than that by backbone prebiotics, which are commonly used. In this study, we aimed investigate whether combination would exert distinct effects as synbiotics vivo . Synbiotics combinations LP, pullulan, and PPNs were used experimental treatments a dysbiosis-induced murine model, their restorative effect assessed using pathogen Escherichia coli K99 challenge. Our results showed E. infection suppressed markedly group fed with containing PPNs. addition, decrease serum endotoxin level after treatment suggested reinforcement gut barrier. Comparison groups, including normal control group, increased microbial diversity, is representative parameter healthy status. Furthermore, from alone, additive enrichment several well-known beneficial bacteria such Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium , other butyrate-producing Faecalibacterium Collectively, our indicate effective at restoring dysbiosis, suppressing pathogenic infection, increasing suggesting have potential be novel strategy for ameliorating dysbiosis infectious diseases.

Gut Microbiota Dysbiosis Drives and Implies Novel Therapeutic Strategies for Diabetes Mellitus and Related Metabolic Diseases

Accumulating evidence over the past decade has linked the development of metabolic syndrome related to diabetes to variations in gut microbiota, an emerging, critical homeostatic regulator of host energy metabolism and immune responses. Mechanistic studies in rodent models have revealed an ever-increasing multitude of molecular mechanisms whereby the gut microbiota interacts with various host s...

Gut dysbiosis is linked to hypertension.

Emerging evidence suggests that gut microbiota is critical in the maintenance of physiological homeostasis. This study was designed to test the hypothesis that dysbiosis in gut microbiota is associated with hypertension because genetic, environmental, and dietary factors profoundly influence both gut microbiota and blood pressure. Bacterial DNA from fecal samples of 2 rat models of hypertension...

Probiotics, Prebiotics, and Synbiotics: Gut and Beyond

The human intestinal tract has been colonized by thousands of species of bacteria during the coevolution of man and microbes. Gut-borne microbes outnumber the total number of body tissue cells by a factor of ten. Recent metagenomic analysis of the human gut microbiota has revealed the presence of some 3.3 million genes, as compared to the mere 23 thousand genes present in the cells of the tissu...
